Lindsey Bednar left behind more than seven years of corporate employment as an AVP at a private boutique investment bank, and most recently as a Project Manager with Goldman Sachs, in an effort to help other women with the services and support they need to experience a natural childbirth. Since then she has become a certified doula with DONA International, the world’s oldest, largest and most respected doula association.  Lindsey is the owner of Chiara Luna, a labor support group offering birth doula services and childbirth education in an array of specialties, including Lamaze and Birthing From Within. Lindsey views childbirth as a normal, healthy process that requires time, patience, strength and endurance.  As a resident of Hoboken, it is also with great pride and honor that she will be working with experienced midwives, medical health professionals, family educators and other professionals to open a natural alternative birthing and women's wellness center in the Hudson County, NJ area.  Adding to Lindsey’s varying background, she is also a partner in Black Tea Optional, a new tea bar and restaurant opening in Hoboken, NJ.
